You dont even know what happened before the video. You dont know if hes wrongfull accused or not. Do you even know about the reputation of the NYPD in NYC?? Amardo Diallo=shot 41 times. Sean Bell=Shot 50 times. Abner Louima=Sodomized with a stick by police. Should I go on???
It really doesn't matter what occured prior to what you were able to view. What needs to be taken into consideration is whether or not police followed protocol. Was the way they handled the situation excessive from the point you witnessed? Did it honestly require them to use that much force for the situation they were faced with? He was already down and subdued, so why go pick up your baton from the ground and return to continue beating a man. Pay attention to what you see, even if he stole something it is not their job to act like that!

From the looks of the tape, it looks like he was resisting arrest......Like the previous person said we don't know what happened before the video.
