Michelle Obama Depicted Being Tortured. The creators responded, "You have to admit that the sensationalist image snagged a lot more readers though...I took that image down long before anyone realized it. I figured I'd take it down as soon as I hit a certain number of comments. I still think that it was entirely appropriate, historically accurate and politically relevant. Besides, it was an ILLUSTRATION, a FICTION not a PHOTO. I still don't get what all the uproar was about mainly because only one person bothered to really articulate their feelings (on the comments)."

I'm really shocked anyone from any race, color, affiliation, etc. would portray such hatred toward ANYONE and justify it as artistic and historically accurate. It doesn't matter how accurate or artistic it may be it's still sending a hateful message.
It is funny how republicans cant win an election based on actual issues because they have little support from the people on the war. Instead they bring up silly things like Obama is a racist because he knows a black man who is upset with the upperclass white people who are bitter towards his people. This is called propaganda when the republicans try their best to divert the peoples minds from the actual problems at hand. If anyone that poses a big threat to our society would be John Mccain.
This whole thing of Obama constantly whining that everyone is "attacking" him makes him look like such a weakling. What does he think will happen? As the old saying goes, politics ain't beanbag. This is a tough fight for all the marbles, not a tea party.
I understand the message behind the picture, so I have mixed feelings about it. Maybe Michelle Obama should not have been portrayed in the picture in the manner that she was. It's like if someone put out a political cartoon saying that "Lazy people on pubic assistance are a liability to the progression of society" and they had a picture of a single black mother with six kids. The message is there in the words so you don't need to isolate a person or a group of people by displaying images. I also understand the importance of shock value. Sometimes you have to take extreme measures to make suttle points.
